The Alpha King’s Fated Mate (Gwen Louve) novel Chapter 148

Chapter 148
Still Titus Point of View:
“Astaroth…” I whispered softly which surprised everyone who heard me and made the Demon I had called smile contentedly and broadly at me.
“Glad you finally know me, Alpha King Titus…”
Astaroth is a Crowned “Prince” of Jinnestan. He is known as the chaos g od of time and space.
He is one of the highest-ranking demons, a Duke of Hell and is said to be among the strongest. He is the patron of battles and engagements, eater of souls, the Father of the Executioners. Astaroth is also said to be one of the incarnations of death.
According to Judaic lore, he was a high-ranking angel, either one of the Seraphim or a prince of Thrones, prior to his fall. Astaroth is a Grand Duke, a Treasurer of Hell, and commands 40 Legions of demons.
Like many of the fallen angels that fell from Heaven, was an angel that resided in Paradise and was a member of the Thrones. Due to his position as a Throne, he was highly ranked amongst the choir of angels as he would see to the carrying of G od’s throne. However, he found himself joining Lucifer’s side during the War in Heaven, and was cast down to Hell alongside all other rebel-angels. He was present at Pandemonium during Lucifer’s Rally, officially declaring himself as an enemy of G od forever.
After Lucifer and his rebel brothers conquered Hell while newly establishing it as their own kingdom a hierarchy was formed during the process with Astaroth aiding in the decreeing of noble positions. Hell would ultimately be ruled by the three supreme monarchs known as the Satanic Triumvirate which consisted of Lucifer, Beelzebub, and Samael. These three would be above, and simultaneously be part of, the Seven Kings of Hell who were the ruling b*dy of the Inferno.
Due to Astaroth’s influence and power he would be closely affiliated with the Seven Great Kings and the Triumvirate as well to the point where demonologists counted him among their number.
So what is he doing here?
My father, the late king, once mentioned Astaroth’s relationship with Asmodeus who always claimed he was the most powerful of the nine archdevils that inhabit Hell, and the only one of Hell’s rulers to claim full divinity.
And that was the reason why Baal, one of the Demons, came down to earth because he was tired of these two Demons fighting.
Giving me and the Demon time to talk, all the guards stood away and left us alone.
Yes, they know that we are part of the Demons after all, we used to be the guardians of Hell that Lucifer trusted until the Moon Goddess gave us her heart and we were no longer useful to the king of Hell.
However, I also know that the presence of Demons can cause our animal instincts to become more primal and ferocious, which can be dangerous for those who cannot restrain themselves and their instructions.
“So, why are you here, Duke of Hell?” I questioned while addressing him with the position he held respectfully, because I knew that there was no way I could defeat this Demon.
We were inside the prisoner’s room, with the door open, it seemed that he did not want to walk out of this room, so I talked to him/here and now.
I need to know for sure about his purpose and hope that he will not cause chaos in my kingdom’s territory.
He remained silent and gave me a cold smile, but looking at his wounds, it seemed that something had happened in his world, something that had brought him here.
“Asmodeus did that to you?” As soon as I said that, his eyes narrowed and looked at me angrily which made me realise that I
was right, da mn it!
“Don’t mention that f*cking boy!” He hissed angrily and spat after that.
Their fight had happened centuries ago, but never did I know that Asmodeus dared to even hurt the legendary figure of Astaroth’s power like this.
And only he can call Asmodeus with such a title, I can’t imagine if others, random people call him in the same way as this Demon in front of me just now.
“What is this smell?” His words caught me by surprise and I immediately looked at him in confusion as the Demon in front of me raised his nose as if smelling something.
What does that mean? A smell?
“What do you mean, As…” He raised his hand to shut me up before closing his eyes for a few moments, then not long after he opened his eyes and said the one thing I never expected him to say or wanted to hear.
“You have a pregnant woman with a very strange aroma in your territory….” My eyes widened at his words and instantly felt like cold water as I thought of my pregnant mate. Could it be what he said is about….her? “Sniiiffsssss….. Wow! This is my first time….” Astaroth kept saying to himself with a horrifyingly sinister smile fixed on his face, Oh No, I thought in panic. “That scent…” He didn’t finish his words and simply smashed the ceiling using his power with ease and jumped out as if it was a piece of cake, even with those injuries the Demon is still very dangerous.
“SH IT!!! Gwen!!!” I shouted in panic and instantly transformed into my wolf form to chase where the Demon was heading, hoping that the pregnant woman he mentioned was not my mate.
However, when I saw him running towards the palace where my mate was, it seemed that my prayer was not answered and the scent he smelled was coming from inside the palace, and there was only one pregnant woman there, my Gwen.
D*mn it!
The thing I didn’t want to happen, happened!
There’s no way I’m letting him have my mate and why would a Demon smell Gwen when there are so many other women in my kingdom?
Why Gwen?!
Why does it have to be my mate?!
