*VENUS's POV*
Alpha Derek's reaction was a bit confusing on my part. I can't fathom why he won't respond to my advances when werewolves usually bite back as soon as they get tempted like that.
I need to ask someone why my ability isn't working on him.
After he had left, I had no choice but to continue the journey alone. As I traveled from place to place, tracking the scent of the end, I immediately stopped when I noticed how suspiciously quiet the forest had been.
"That's weird.."
It's been miles, and I haven't seen any creatures? Yet I only continued to be wary until I saw a track of dead monsters. The trail reached so far that my eyes couldn't see how far it went.
Wow, I didn't know someone this strong was among the participants, though they could be a group- it tells me a single person did it since the wound marks were left on the same places on each dead body.
I scrunched my nose, "Just what kind of monster did this?"
Then a twig broke.
My eyes abruptly shifted to the sound direction. My senses heightened as I stood by in alert for enemies. Behind me, a man as tall as Alpha Derek stood by a tree, and it was no other than the guy I met at the cabin.
I've only noticed it now, but it was beautiful how his blue eyes resembled that of the oceans. His light grey hair and pale skin were only noticeable under dim daylight. The only thing I hated at the moment was how he looked at me with a smug expression.
"Found you~."
I slapped my forehead. "Hah, to think you followed me all the way here, were you that desperate to get laid?"
"Maybe," He says as he strides towards me, "Or maybe I'm just curious about you."
"There's nothing to be curious of, now move."
I shoved him out of my way, but he kept interfering in my path that I tried to punch him. He dodged some of them but also received most of them. Yet despite all that hassle to move him, he just laughed at all of my attempts.
We were so close to the end of the forest that my patience also reached its limits. I couldn't believe that I'd leave the woods with this psychopath with me. Who knows what his planning at?
I stopped and glared at him, "Aren't you going to stop?! Just how long can you keep on being annoying!"
"Tell me, why do you want to join Crescent Moon? You can just join Dark Moon pack. It's the same anyways. But this time, it'd be a free pass on your account." He chattered, ignoring my complaints.
"Shut up. No one cares." I replied.
Since he was bent on trying to annoy me, I gave up on scolding him and was about to continue walking if it weren't for his hand, that stopped me.
"I do. I want you in my pack."
"In my pack?"
"I forgot, we didn't introduce ourselves. I'm Seff, Alpha of Dark Moon pack. You?" He smiles.
Yet even with how he was expressing himself, I knew how he was acting, since I was an actress to emotions myself.
I can't trust him.
"I don't know... last time I checked, you wanted to kill me. So what's with this 360 turn-in attitude?"
He chuckles, "I told you, I'm just curious. If I weren't sincere, they wouldn't have already snitched on you? After all, I knew that you're that spy who attempted to kill Derek. "
He leaned on my ear. It was a bit sudden, so I backed down a bit. He smirks before he leans in once again. He whispered, "But don't worry, I won't tell. I'm good at keeping secrets, you see."
"Whatever, I won't believe you anyway. No need waste your time to persuade-"
My eyes widened. It was only at that moment that i felt my left foot being wrapped by a sticky red tongue that emerged from below. I gasped when it pulled me upside down, I came face to face with the monster about 15 ft tall.
