The Beauty and the Brain by Natalie Jones novel Chapter 164

Chapter 164

Darwin shrank his neck and said. “The company didn’t say we couldn’t date either…”

Marie, annoyed, rubbed her forehead and said, “Can you just give me some peace for two days?”

Darwin shook his head, “That won’t work. Haven’t you seen Christopher Zeller from Global Medias? He frequently calls Sasha, always saying her name repeatedly. Who does he think he is? Didn’t he just save

Sasha once? Isn’t that enough?”

Marie was also helpless, “Christopher and Sasha are just friends, what are you thinking?”

“I don’t care! Once I get the best actor award, I’ll confess my feelings to Sasha!” Darwin said.

Marie also had a headache at this time, as she didn’t know whether she should hope for Darwin to win the

best actor award or not.

Sasha was peacefully filming in seclusion, completely unaware that Darwin was already preparing to

announce it to the world.

Marie could only hold back her anger and said, “You better calm down and don’t cause trouble. Otherwise, ruining yourself would be the least of your problems. If you ruin Sasha, I’ll kill you!”

Darwin was rendered speechless.

What does it mean that ruining himself was a small matter? Did he have such a low status?

Marie had arranged everything for the production team and went to check on Zane again. Zane was now considered a veteran in the music industry. His variety show, where he showcased his singing talent, had high viewership ratings. Moreover, Zane had no gossip or scandals, and he was humble and polite, so Marie

didn’t have to worry about him at all.

Marie returned to the Spence mansion and bumped into Olive as she was leaving. As their eyes met, the resentment in Olive’s eyes was not hidden at all.

She took Marie’s collaboration and helped Shirley snatch Sasha’s role, thinking that Sasha wouldn’t have any better opportunities in the second half of the year. Even if there were any, they wouldn’t be better than Shirley’s The Earthquake. Who would have thought that in just two weeks, Marie would make a strong comeback with the script for Double Sided?

Compared to Double Sided, The Earthquake was like a child’s small fight. Whether it was the original writing. popularity, or social status, The Earthquake couldn’t hold a candle to Double Sided. Once this news came out, no one paid attention to Shirley’s movie anymore; everyone was eagerly looking forward to Sasha’s Double Sided.

Olive was not convinced. Why did all the good things belong to Marie?

Why was her luck always so good? How come she was able to avert disaster every time?

When Olive saw Marie, she couldn’t help but want to tear her apart with her bare hands!

Olive rushed up and raised her hand to hit Marle, but Marie blocked it with her arm and sneered at Olive,

Get Bots

“Olive, when will you ever change this bad habit of hitting people at the slightest provocation?”

Before Olive could speak, Marie let go of her and immediately slapped her with the back of her hand!

Olive covered her face, looked at Marie in disbelief, and said, “You… you dared to hit me?”

Marie clapped her hands and laughed, “What’s there to be afraid of? It’s because I don’t hit you that you always think I’m easy to bully. Isn’t this me teaching you what it means to hit someone?”

“Marie Spence! Who do you think you are? You thought getting this script for Sasha would solve everything?

Let’s see how long you can be so smug! One day, I’ll kick you out of the Spence family!” Olive screamed

hysterically.

Marie laughed helplessly and said, “Oh dear, you two sisters are really funny. Both of you want to drive me

away, but why can’t Carly even come back home now? Oh, right, it’s because I won’t let her come back. She’ll

have to spend the rest of her life in Bordeaux!”

Olive clenched her fists and gritted her teeth as she looked at Marie. Carly was her younger sister, and she felt more heartache than anyone else for Carly wandering alone outside. All of this was because of Marie.

She swore that she would definitely drive Marie out and then bring Carly back in an above board manner!

Olive stared intently at Marie and said, “Just you wait! Your happiness won’t last long!”

Marie sneered, “Olive, you don’t have to be so hostile with me. Don’t you just want a position in the

entertainment industry? How about this? You tell me the truth about my mother’s death, and I’ll give you all

the resources I have.”

Olive was startled and before she could speak, a sudden shout came from behind her. “Olive!*

Olive turned around and found Noel standing behind her, watching her coldly. His gaze made her shiver.

Noel walked over with a sharp gaze, Olive glanced at Marie but didn’t dare to speak, and followed Noel.
