(Eros’s Pov)
As soon as I pulled away from Eden, I began to miss her again. I wanted her to be in my arms and to stay there forever.
I looked up at the place where the Elders sat. Eden was walking towards the seat, her dress balled in one hand. She walked quickly, probably trying to get seated before it starts.
It was hilarious the way the maids tried to catch up with her pace.
I smiled. Eden has never been one to waste time on what she wants to do.
The dress she wore hid her bump, but I could sense it well enough.
My pup.
I felt my chest swell in pride. There was nothing as satisfying as the woman you love having your own child.
I smiled again. My gaze fixed on her.
I must have been too lost in my thoughts because I heard Ryker scoff at me.
“Don't you think you need to put your head in the game?” I heard Ryker say.
I finally pulled my gaze away from her, and looked at him.
It still amazed me how alike we looked. It was like staring at a mirror, but I could still recognize the subtle differences, like the eye color and nose shape.
I pursed my lips. Then sighed.
“Do you really have to go this far?” I asked for the first time since we started this drill.
Ryker rolled his eyes. “Don't get comfortable with me just because I talked to you.”
“You act like a child,” I said.
“At least that's better than the way you behave. Sometimes, I wonder why you are so stiff. Loosen up a little.” he said.
I ignored his comment.
He had no idea how it had been growing up as a leader. It was hard knowing people looked up to me to be better than my father.
I couldn't afford to slip off for fear of disastrous consequences.
The shrill sound of the whistle cut me off from my thoughts, and Ryker smiled.
The instructor made sure Ryker and I were far apart from each other before yelling “start!”
I was barely able to get myself into a proper position before Ryker attacked. He took me by surprise and landed a blow on my face.
The rules were simple: Fight in your human state, as a king who could defend himself in his human state can defend anyone else with or without his hybrid wolf.
Lastly, the first person to fall on his back, loses.
Despite the fact that Ryker packed a good punch that made me stagger, it wasn't enough to throw me down.
I moved away from him. Ryker smirked, his gaze narrowed on me.
“I warned you to get your head in the game.” He said.
I didn't react to his jibes. I kept my eyes on him, refusing to get distracted again.

This book is basically the same as Catching Genesis by Nicole Riddley, so don't waste your time on the crappy zoom and random % and 1/4 idk bout y'all but that got annoying quick...

Does anyone know when the next chapter will be released?? The suspense is killing me!...
Not sure why it is so difficult to read from chapter 8....it's like it is zoomed in permanently, I can't see the end of the sentences......
