Sophie POV.
It has been so strange to me to have someone willing to look after me. Harry, his mom and his dads have been wonderful. It has been nearly a week since I was attacked by my father and brother. I know Harry is keeping quiet about what he and his mom are planning on doing, and that’s fine. I need to heal more before I worry about what will happen.
Today, I’m being discharged from hospital and staying with Harry at the clubhouse. I’m nervous because I have always lived on my own. Well, I have when I ran away. So being in a huge family environment is going to be a wake up call.
I am still healing, but I can manage with the pain. It isn’t as bad as what it was, but still. I need help moving around. Even if I am determined to do it on my own. Another thing I need to get used to.
No matter where I am going, Harry is right by my side. I did ask him if he needed to work and he laughed and told me to not worry about anything. His dads and mom have the club covered. I only know from what I have read in fantasy books or from the TV. So I don’t know how much of what I think I know is accurate.
All I know is that Harry is such a sweetheart. I did get angry when the nurse was flirting with him, but Harry didn’t pay her any attention and I smiled secretly at that. Since then I didn’t see her again. I was assigned another nurse, a kind older lady who is married, and we talk a lot about her family and the latest books she has read.
“You shouldn’t be on your feet. You know this. I leave the room to get you food and you are up and out of the bed being naughty.” Harry says from the open door and I blush at being caught packing my things.
He walks closer to me, and I shiver as his heat seeps into my back. His hand gently brushes against my hip, and I find myself relaxing. His breath against my ear as he whispers in my ear.
“You keep this up Soph and I may have to handcuff you to my bed,” He says with a slight growl to his tone before he kisses my cheek. Sweet baby Jesus. Butterflies erupt in my belly and I swallow thickly as he chuckles and I shiver again.
“Harry, I was just packing some of my things. It isn’t like I was doing anything that causes me pain. I’m OK,” I say to him with a sigh. This is going to take some getting used to.
His hands land on my hips, and he turns me around, and I look up at him. My face is healing and I have green, yellow, and some black bruising still, but the swelling has gone down. My ribs are still sore but I can breathe sort of properly now. It still hurts, so that is why I’m slower than usual.
“I know that baby, but you are still healing, so let me help you, ok. I don’t want you lifting a finger. But I get it. You are independent and have been for so long. Let me help you. You’re not alone now, Scrapper.” He says and I raise an eyebrow even though it aches.
