Daisy leaned in, concern etched on her face. "Are you and Miss Grace having a fallout?"
"No, nothing like that."
"Come on, you think I can't pick up on the tension in your voice? If there really wasn't an issue, you wouldn't be speaking to her like that. Is she having health problems or something? Allison, if there's anything going on, you have to tell me."
"Daisy, I'm on my way to the set right now. Shooting starts tomorrow. There are things we need to talk about, but I'll fill you in when I get back. Honestly, some of the stuff Grace has done... it sounds so ridiculous, I doubt anyone would believe it, even me."
"Alright, just make sure you get some rest."
After hanging up, Daisy turned to the sales associate. "Can you wrap up that other necklace too? The one with the 5-carat pink diamond at the center." She watched closely as the associate carefully packaged the stunning piece.

Allison arrived in Silvertown that afternoon.
Meeting Wade for the first time in person was surreal. She had only seen photos of him in the production files. His eyes were sharp, almost predatory, his hair a mix of black and white, though more white than black, cascading past his shoulders and topped with a newsboy cap. He was even more imposing than she had imagined.
The table read was set for the afternoon, and most of the main cast had gathered.
Allison was the lead actress, with the talented young star Jenna Xunning cast as the supporting female, and Davin, a Best Supporting Actor awardee, playing the supporting male role. The lead male role had been a mystery, but word was it had finally been decided, though Allison hadn't heard the details yet.
That’s why, after seeing Allison’s photo, he had made his decision.
Allison kept her eyes on the script, though she could feel the weight of Wade’s gaze. She exhaled slowly, her fingers clenching and unclenching beneath the table as she tried to steady her nerves. Seeing Wade felt like facing a stern high school principal—intimidating and serious.
She worked hard to block out the distractions and immerse herself fully in the script.
Her character, Irene, was an ordinary office worker, and the story began with an unexpected accident.
This accident gave her a strange ability to see things that were invisible to others. This new power brought her both marvels and troubles. Her mundane life took a dark turn when she witnessed a murder on her way home from work, pulling her into a decade-old unsolved case. The story was just beginning.
