Hearing Silas mention Freya's name, Kieran glanced at him and said, “It's not about her, of all people!”
Silas could instantly tell Kieran was denying his true feelings. If it weren’t about Freya, what about his strong reaction?
Silas said, “After all, Freya is your future wife. Maybe she's no Eloise, but she's devoted to you through and through.”
“Devoted to me?” Kieran scoffed as if he had heard the funniest joke, “Devoted? How could Freya be so cozy with Preston and Ronan if devoted? Why didn't she stand up for herself when she was accused? She's all about the dough! When she sees a loaded wallet, she's all over it! Seeing I'm not biting, she throws herself at other guys! And you want to tell me she's devoted?”
Silas was at a loss for words when hearing Kieran speak his mind.
Stammering, Silas said, “You, you sure have a lot of complaints, huh? And you say it's not about Freya?”
Kieran felt a weight lifting off his chest after speaking his mind. “Anyway, she didn’t ask for my help, did she? So, I won’t intervene. Whatever people say about her, she brought it upon herself!”
Silas responded, “Why go to such lengths? You insisted on making Freya's life miserable. Haven’t you heard the rumors in Echo City? Everyone knows how blindly in love Freya was with you, to an almost bottomless extent. If it were me, I couldn’t play such a demeaning role, not even for three months! A normal person would’ve lost it by now. Her current attitude toward you is your own doing.”
Hearing this, Kieran glanced at Silas.
That look frightened Silas a bit, so he pretended to busy himself with his drink, pretending not to notice.
“Since you're here, no worries! I’ll find someone new for you. What’s so great about Freya? I’ve got beauties here with perfect skin and sexy legs who can help you ease off.”
Saying so, Silas clapped his hands, and soon, several stunningly dressed beauties came in, each one a head-turner.
