The Bride Who Said No: Escaping the Shadows of Yesterday novel Chapter 305

“Kara, where are you off to?”

The folks in the class were itching for a bit more gossip about Kieran. But Kara was already hot on Ronan’s heels, stepping out of the classroom.

“Professor Beckett!” Kara called out to Ronan, cheeks aflame.

Ronan halted in his tracks, as expected.

“What's up?” His demeanor was indifferent, edged with a hint of aloofness.

Biting her lip, Kara started, “About what we chatted during the break, actually...”

She couldn’t bring herself to finish.

“This has nothing to do with me.” Ronan’s tone was indifferent, uninterested in whatever they had discussed.

Stunned by his lack of concern, Kara paused. When she snapped back to reality, Ronan was already far gone.

‘Isn’t Ronan supposed to be backing Freya? But he’s Ignoring me completely.’ A smile Kara herself didn’t notice spread across her face. ‘It seems luck's on my side.’

With graduation exams around the corner, a high society girl like Freya, having been out of school for so long, was bound to fail. And once Freya got kicked out, no one would remember the lies Kara had spun.

Meanwhile, Freya stared blankly at the desk before her at the Tyler Mansion.

“Like it?” Neil approached, boasting, “This masterpiece was for you by Hans on Preston's order. Check out the craftsmanship. Feel the texture. It's top-notch.”
