Kieran had stood up, and the two bodyguards behind him moved to Freya's side, saying, "Ms. Dawson, if you please."
Freya frowned, obviously perplexed. Under the circumstances, refusing to follow Kieran was out of the question.
But Freya was puzzled. She thought, ‘Doesn't Kieran despise me? So, what’s his game now?’
On the way to the Sutton family, Freya kept silent.
Upon arriving at the Sutton family, Kieran's bodyguards carried all of Freya's belongings up to the second floor, to the room she had once occupied.
Freya stood in the foyer, showing no intention of heading upstairs.
"Forgot how to get around the place you used to call home?" Kieran sneered. "Need me to show you around?"
Looking around the familiar Sutton family, Freya felt a wave of revulsion.
‘In your eyes, I was here for a mere three months,’ she thought. "But in reality, I spent three years here in another life."
During those years, she was like Kieran's caretaker, doing everything she could for him.
When Kieran fell gravely ill with a highly contagious disease, she waited on him tirelessly for three days until she collapsed from exhaustion.
Hearing it, Freya scoffed.
So, Kieran had resorted to such tactics. But if it were a cooking challenge he wanted, she'd give it to him.
Freya raised an eyebrow, slipped on an apron, tied her hair back, and made her way to the kitchen. Soon, the clatter of utensils filled the air.
Hearing the noise from upstairs, Kieran couldn't help but sneer, "See, she's bending to my will, after all."
Jarrett, however, expressed his doubts. "Mr. Sutton, something tells me it's not going to be that straightforward... This Ms. Dawson is nothing like the one we knew before."
