"Scared?"
"..."
Craig wanted to say he wasn't scared, but if the Smith family really wanted to mess with him, they could do it in the blink of an eye.
And knowing Aurora, she was capable of anything.
"Craig, do you still worry that my saying I want to marry you is just talk?"
He pursed his lips, "No."
Craig didn't even dare to think too much about it.
Aurora grabbed his hand, snuggling into his warm palm, "If your mom comes out safe today, let's go register our marriage, okay?"
That really scared Craig!
"Are you kidding?"
"Do I look like I'm kidding?"
Craig furrowed his brows, his eyes fixed on her, and after a long silence, he said, "No."
Aurora leaned against him quietly, not saying anything.
Seemingly in thought, she suddenly let go of Craig's hand and ran towards the nurse's station, "Hi, could I borrow a stool, please?"
"Right here." The nurse smiled at her, even getting up to hand one over.
Aurora, holding the stool, returned to Craig.
She placed the stool on the ground, and standing on it with her heels, she barely managed to meet his gaze.
Craig had no clue what she was planning, his dark eyes intently on her.
The next second—
Aurora raised her hand and slapped him!
Even from her elevated position, the force was still that of a woman's, barely enough to leave five red marks on Craig's cheek.
"..."
But the sound was quite sharp.
It made everyone at the nurse's station look their way!
"What kind of man are you, anyway? Scared of this, scared of that! Here I am, a woman, proposing to you, and you're here saying no?"
"Stop looking, this isn't for kids."
Felicity tried to pull his hand away, discontent, "Am I the kid here, or are you?"
"..."
"Aw, just let me have a peek!"
"Felicity!"
She pouted, resigning to lean against his chest.
But she couldn't stay quiet for more than five seconds before curiosity got the better of her again, "Miles, have Abby and that Craig...you know..."
Miles was at a loss for words, "How would I know?"
"Don't you ever ask? Aren't you a bit curious about your sister?"
"How am I supposed to ask about that?"
Was he really expected to just ask Abby if she and Craig had been intimate?
Felicity thought for a moment, "Hmm, you have a point! I'll ask her later then."
