Well, you see, what really drew her to Craig was his relentless spirit, wasn't it?
Even knowing that his girlfriend was none other than Miss Aurora Lopez, heiress to the Lopez fortune, he still chose to drive his truck and earn his keep.
He wouldn't change for anyone, not even for her status.
Had Craig been like the other suitors, always agreeing, always bending backward, Aurora might not have found him as appealing!

By the time Felicity got home last night, it was late, and Karen didn’t get the chance to grill her before Jeffrey whisked her away to their room.
But this morning, there was no escaping it!
"How did it go with Langston?" Karen prodded.
"We just... chatted," Felicity replied, trying to sound nonchalant.
"Pull the other one," Karen raised an eyebrow, wishing she had been a fly on the wall for that conversation!
Felicity blushed, "Oh come on, mom, why are you so nosy?"
"I'm your mother! Of course, I care about your personal life!"
...
"So, are you and Langston an item now?" Karen pursued.
Felicity sighed and sank deeper into the couch, "Yeah."
"That's fantastic!" Karen jumped up, clapping her hands so hard she winced. "Ouch... that kinda hurt."
Felicity wasn't surprised by her mom's dramatics anymore.
She was always like this.
"Mom, I have a question."
"Shoot!"
"If Langston and I ever have a disagreement in the future, whose side will you take? Mine or his?"
Felicity couldn’t help but feel her mom seemed more like Langston’s own mother at times, almost as if she'd happily pack Felicity off to his bed if she could.
"Of course, I'd take your side! You're my daughter, who else would I support?" Karen blinked, sensing something amiss, "You guys didn’t talk about marriage, did you?"
That would explain the "in the future" comment.
The voice was instantly recognizable.
Esther.
Felicity would never mistake that voice.
"Yes, speaking."
"Hello, I'm Esther, Langston's girlfriend. We met before at Bay Residence." Esther's voice was as gentle as ever.
But...
Langston's girlfriend?
Then what was she?
"I remember. What can I do for you?" Felicity didn’t immediately object but decided to hear her out.
She was curious about what Esther had to say.
"Well... there’s something I need to ask you. Since Langston and I are discussing marriage, my parents want to meet him, but I can't seem to reach him. Could you possibly—"
"No, I can't." Felicity cut her off, "Maybe you should consider why you can't reach him."
