It's true what they say, clothes make the man.
Right now, clad in a sleek, jet-black shirt paired with dress pants, he really did give off the aura of someone from an illustrious family.
Leveraging his tall frame and long limbs, he looked like a walking mannequin. And with that ruggedly handsome face featuring sharp, defined lines, who could have guessed he used to be a truck driver, barreling down highways?
"Hey, bro-in-law!" Felicity called out, unphased.
That made Aurora blush a tad. "Felicity, we're not married yet..."
She gestured towards the large, festive "Congratulations" banner hanging at the entrance of Bay Residence, "With all this, do you think he can still make a run for it?"
"Ha-ha."
Soon after, the men were off to tend to the more physically demanding tasks or those that required climbing.
Aurora pulled Felicity to the side, handing her a glass of juice. "Aunt Karen mentioned you went to the Arctic."
"Yeah! It's absolutely stunning there. I'll send you some pictures! It could be a great honeymoon destination for you and your hubby!" Felicity clapped her hands enthusiastically.
As she spoke, Aurora suddenly lowered her head, shyly caressing her belly.
"We might not be able to travel far for our honeymoon...I'm pregnant."
"Really?!"
"Yeah, the doctor said it's been six weeks."
Felicity was genuinely happy for Aurora. She stared at the small belly for a few seconds before asking cautiously, "Can I...touch it?"
"There's nothing much to feel yet, no bump or anything."
"I just...wanted to feel it."
She reached out, touching gently.
Pregnancy.
Such a beautiful thing...
It's just a shame she would never experience it herself.
"You and Craig should have lots of kids too. Whether they take after you or him, they'll be gorgeous!"
Aurora coughed lightly, chuckling, "What about you? Don't Mr. Turner and Aunt Karen want grandchildren? Haven't they been nudging you?"
"Me?" Her expression faltered, eyes dropping to hide her emotions, but her smile remained, "I won't be having any. Taking care of myself is enough."
Aurora seemed about to say more when Craig called her over.
"Hold on, I'll check what's going on."
"Go ahead!"
Watching Aurora leave, Felicity allowed herself a deep breath.
The next moment, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a familiar figure.
"..."
Was her dad reliable or not? Wasn't he supposed to not come?
