She should have been the kind of woman that every man dreams about, right? The type who could have any boyfriend she wanted, the kind who would be cherished and adored!
So how did her marriage end up like this?
"It's just the way fate works, and there's no escaping it! I just hope that after this, her path will be a little smoother."
Apart from matters of the heart, she deserves not to be hurt in any other way too.
In the past, Miles might not have been so reflective because he hadn't experienced love himself. He thought these things just happened naturally—when the right one came along, they'd marry and have kids, living happily ever after.
But then... Felicity returned to his life, and he finally understood the bittersweet agony of love!
It was the kind of love that haunted him, even though he knew that taking one more step forward would bring more pain. He knew that letting go was the best thing for him, yet he couldn't bring himself to do it.
So now, Miles truly understood what his sister was going through.
Abigail left Craig, probably because the pain was unbearable, so intense that she could no longer hold on, so overwhelming that all she wanted was to get away as quickly as possible.
As a brother, Miles could only respect and support his sister's decisions.
Because he knew just how deeply love could hurt.
...
It wasn't like he expected, with Craig begging her to stay over and over again.
Quite the opposite, in fact.
When Aurora told him she really wanted a divorce, Craig just lowered his head and stayed silent for a moment before barely whispering, "Alright, I agree."
Hearing those words, even though Aurora got what she wanted, she didn't feel any joy.
To put it accurately, her feelings were more like relief.
Finally, it was over—the relationship that seemed so ludicrous from the outside.
Craig straightened up and turned to leave.
"Okay."
"Craig, if you ever need help with anything in the future, you can still come to me."
He shook his head, saying nothing.
What right did he have to ask Aurora for help now?
Her presence had been the most incredible thing in his life, but he hadn’t appreciated it.
Craig couldn't even bring himself to think about their past sweet moments together.
Because when he did, it hurt too much to breathe.
Those were such beautiful times...
Aurora would smile at him, gaze at him quietly, ask him gently if he was tired, and time and again, she'd plead with him not to break up...

Why didn't Jeffrey call Everett from the office? Lock his door instruct security to not let anyone in and speak to Everett on the phone?
