Dorothy was startled when she opened the door to her office. She found an extra desk that wasn't there before.
An office desk?
Was someone supposed to share this space with her? No one had mentioned it.
Just as Dorothy was about to turn around and ask Austin, she saw Lane striding towards her with a spring in his step.
"Meeting's over?"
"Mmm-hmm." Dorothy couldn't avoid him now, so she just nodded with a smile.
Lane dangled a takeout box in front of her. "Hey, I drove for an hour to get this for you. Have you eaten yet? This food is a specialty in Everglow City."
"I’m okay. I'll grab something back at the hotel once I finish up here. I'm not hungry right now."
"You're still on guard even when it comes to food?" Lane winked as he feigned hurt on his handsome face. "Are you afraid I've added something to it? Here, I'll take the first bite."
Dorothy felt like a cornered duck and had no choice but to wave her hand in embarrassment. "No, I'm really not hungry. I'll take it and eat it later at the hotel."
She knew if she didn't accept it, Lane would keep talking and talking.
To save time, Dorothy accepted it with a smile.
"That's better." With that, Lane walked straight into Dorothy's office and sat behind the new desk. "From now on, I'll be working here too. Austin mentioned that there are some contracts that need signing. It's not convenient to take them back to the hotel, so I'll just sign them here."
Dorothy was speechless.
Lane was sharing an office with her?!
Wait, why would someone of Lane's standing need an office in a subsidiary project like this?!

The readers' comments on the novel: The CEO's Hidden Love: Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires
Sometimes Karen can be such a drama queen and immature....
For some reason I am now feeling suspicious about Kevin's new girlfriend....
I really hope this Perdita person is not a new villain....
I too echoed the sentiments of pppplllleeeaaaassssseeeeee bring this drama to an end. I beg of you!...
Really please finish this book and upload the full story so it can end. It's been drugout for so long!...
The intimate scenes in this story or uncomfortable to read. They either come off as being forced, painful, or simply not enjoyable....
Okay I left a long while ago and came back. Looks like it's been updated but still not done lol. I'll maybe wait 6 months before coming back and it'll probably still be going on. It's like a soap opera instead of a novel...
Kenneth is confirming something I've been thinking about him for several hundred chapters ago and that is he is a future murder suicide perpetrator. And after reading chapter 1275 yeah it's just brought the thought back....
How could Jeffrey throw the knife down at the scene of the crime with both their fingerprints on there?...
Again no update, so is this where it ends? Or post the whole book. Your dragging this out...
