Only a few seconds passed before Everett began dialing Jeffrey's number.
After many rings, the call was finally answered.
The noise on Jeffrey's end was chaotic. It sounded like he was out drinking with friends; the clinking of glasses was evident in the background.
"Where are you?"
"Having a drink, man. A buddy from abroad just got back, so we're catching up."
Everett frowned. "The picture you sent me of that kid, did you photoshop it?"
Jeffrey was taken aback and raised his voice. "I don't have time for that kind of nonsense! Today, while I was working late at the office, this kid showed up at the Lopez Corporation. The security guards probably saw the resemblance between him and you and decided to bring him to me."
"Where's the kid then?"
"Right next to me! The kid doesn't know his mom's name. All he knows is that his dad looks a lot like him. I couldn't just leave him out on the street, could I?"
But Jeffrey had already made plans for the night, and, left with no choice, he had to bring the kid along.
“You brought a kid to a bar?!”
“What else was I supposed to do?” Jeffrey seemed to step out of the bar. The surrounding noise was significantly quieter. “He really does look a lot like you. I’m almost certain that you two are father and son. Otherwise, why would I go through all this trouble?”
He was a free spirit, so he wasn’t particularly fond of children.
“Don’t drink anymore, and take the kid to a hotel for the night. I'll be back tomorrow."
Although Everett was still unclear about the whole situation, he had to figure out why a child resembling him had appeared.
"Deal! I'll make sure to deliver him to you in one piece! After all, this might be your son!" Jeffrey chuckled. "Bro, you're something else. You had a son this big and didn’t even know about it. I'll have to interrogate you when you get back."

The readers' comments on the novel: The CEO's Hidden Love: Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires
Sometimes Karen can be such a drama queen and immature....
For some reason I am now feeling suspicious about Kevin's new girlfriend....
I really hope this Perdita person is not a new villain....
I too echoed the sentiments of pppplllleeeaaaassssseeeeee bring this drama to an end. I beg of you!...
Really please finish this book and upload the full story so it can end. It's been drugout for so long!...
The intimate scenes in this story or uncomfortable to read. They either come off as being forced, painful, or simply not enjoyable....
Okay I left a long while ago and came back. Looks like it's been updated but still not done lol. I'll maybe wait 6 months before coming back and it'll probably still be going on. It's like a soap opera instead of a novel...
Kenneth is confirming something I've been thinking about him for several hundred chapters ago and that is he is a future murder suicide perpetrator. And after reading chapter 1275 yeah it's just brought the thought back....
How could Jeffrey throw the knife down at the scene of the crime with both their fingerprints on there?...
Again no update, so is this where it ends? Or post the whole book. Your dragging this out...
