It felt like they had been together this whole time.
Everett wished he could freeze this moment in time, keeping her forever by his side.
As Dorothy wiped down the surfaces, a sudden thought about Jeffrey's head bandage distracted her. "Did Jeffrey get hurt?"
"Yeah, I think he found out about Heather and was on his way to tell me when someone rear-ended his car."
Dorothy glanced at him, hesitating before asking, "It was Heather?"
He nodded solemnly.
"She... she's really lost it." Dorothy sighed softly. "She'd do anything for you. And Jeffrey, he was so good to her."
Hearing the tone in her voice, Everett raised an eyebrow with a hint of teasing. "Are you... jealous?"
"Me? Jealous? No way!" Dorothy protested, but her cheeks betrayed her with a blush.
She always had a hard time hiding her feelings, wishing she could just vanish on the spot whenever someone pointed them out.
"Okay, you're not," Everett said, his smile deepening; he couldn’t bear to take his eyes off her for even a second.
Aware of his gaze, Dorothy grew even more self-conscious, her hands moving more frantically over his body until she accidentally brushed against something—something decidedly firm.
She jerked her hand back as if electrocuted, stepping back several paces. "I... I didn't mean to!"
Quickly, she turned and pretended to go rinse the towel. Once she left, Everett took several deep breaths, trying to will his body to calm down.

The readers' comments on the novel: The CEO's Hidden Love: Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires
Sometimes Karen can be such a drama queen and immature....
For some reason I am now feeling suspicious about Kevin's new girlfriend....
I really hope this Perdita person is not a new villain....
I too echoed the sentiments of pppplllleeeaaaassssseeeeee bring this drama to an end. I beg of you!...
Really please finish this book and upload the full story so it can end. It's been drugout for so long!...
The intimate scenes in this story or uncomfortable to read. They either come off as being forced, painful, or simply not enjoyable....
Okay I left a long while ago and came back. Looks like it's been updated but still not done lol. I'll maybe wait 6 months before coming back and it'll probably still be going on. It's like a soap opera instead of a novel...
Kenneth is confirming something I've been thinking about him for several hundred chapters ago and that is he is a future murder suicide perpetrator. And after reading chapter 1275 yeah it's just brought the thought back....
How could Jeffrey throw the knife down at the scene of the crime with both their fingerprints on there?...
Again no update, so is this where it ends? Or post the whole book. Your dragging this out...
