“Forget about it!” Teresa decided to calm down when she saw Noelle, who was the one implicated, being indifferent about this. There was no reason for Teresa to get mad if Noelle was not mad. Teresa thought about it and decided that this would not change the truth. She decided to let it be. “Looks like I’m not as level–headed as you are!”
Noelle smiled. She was not really level–headed, but she had spent a lot of time with Charles and had seen him always maintain his cool no matter how serious the situation was. All this time she had spent with him had also influenced her to do the same.
“Let’s stop talking about her.” Rowena passed a glass of fruit wine each to Noelle and Teresa. “I heard that anyone who visits The Majestic Lounge is either rich or of nobility. Mindy’s husband must be someone important if he’s able to get us this floor.”
Rowena bumped Noelle on the shoulder. “Does your husband know anyone from The Majestic Lounge?”
Noelle shook her head. “I didn’t ask him about this.” However, she next said, “It can’t be him, can it?” If
this was true, Noelle would be tongue–tied.
Compared to the silent atmosphere around Noelle, it was crowded and lively where Winter was. Multiple groups of people kept approaching Winter to try and get better acquainted. Winter did not push any of them away. She smiled at everyone who came to greet her.
Mindy had invited the most successful people in their year and Winter did not mind chatting with them. After several rounds of chatting, Mindy finally pulled Winter to the side with the excuse that she had to discuss something with Winter. “You guys! There’s still time to gather later. I need to talk to Winter about
something.”
Winter was dragged off by Mindy while those left behind attempted to follow. However, Winter said to them with a smile, “We’ll have more opportunity to get together again. All of you have my number now.”
