"No way!" Charles refused immediately without a second thought. "I don't feel comfortable with you going alone. How about you take Peter with you?"
"I..." Noelle was momentarily stunned, thinking Charles was being overly cautious for no reason. However, hearing the firmness in his voice, she realized she did not have much of a choice. She sighed and agreed reluctantly, "Alright, I'll go look for Peter."
After hanging up the phone, Noelle glanced at Sean. "Charlie said it's fine. I'll go prepare the ingredients. See you tonight at Phoenix Tree Residence."
On Charles' end, he ended the call and immediately dialed Peter's number. At that moment, Peter was with Brandon, chatting away, while Tania kept a close eye on him. It was as if she feared Peter would run off with Brandon at any second.
Peter squinted. "You don't need to watch me like a hawk."
"Give Brandon back to me," Tania demanded.
Peter smirked. "Alright, come and take him."
"You..." Tania was livid as she glared at Peter. He knew she would not make a scene in front of Nancy, and he also knew Brandon was getting attached to him. How could she snatch the child away now?
"He's not even your child, yet you seem so pleased holding him!"
"I like him because he's yours," Peter said calmly.
Tania's heart skipped a beat. Biting her lip, she saw that Nancy had already fallen asleep.
She shot Peter a fierce look. "Peter, don't forget, it's been over between us for a long time. Can you stop living in the past? We've both moved on. I'm married with a child now. There's no going back."
Peter's expression instantly turned cold. He looked up and locked eyes with Tania. "I haven't signed the divorce papers, and we haven't gotten a divorce certificate either. Tania, you're still my wife. You say you're married. Are you telling me you committed bigamy?"
"You..." Tania gritted her teeth. "We've been separated for over three years. I can easily apply to the court and get the divorce finalized."
"Is that so?" Peter's gaze darkened. "Tania, as long as I say we're not divorced, who would dare claim otherwise?"
