The Contracted Ever After (Cordelia and Ronan) novel Chapter 113

After dinner, Cordelia washed up the dishes and checked her phone for a bit since she still had some time before work.

She saw a comment Deanna left on Ronan's Facebook post. She dropped a drooling emoji with a comment saying, [Wow, looks delightful.]

Cordelia's smile disappeared instantly. She understood that every word from Deanna had deeper meanings. She wondered what Deanna was up to.

Ronan replied to her. [Cordelia made it.]

Almost no one at the company followed Deanna, so most people wouldn't understand this comment. They would only see the picture Ronan posted and Cordelia's comment.

Cordelia swallowed her anger and replied to Deanna. [If you want some, come over to my place. I'll cook for you.]

Cordelia felt that her reply was both gracious and demonstrated her position as the host.

Deanna replied to Ronan, [Ronan, Cordelia invited me over to your place. Do you agree?]

Ronan replied, [Sure.]

Cordelia, holding back her anger, asked, [This weekend at noon?]

Deanna. [Sure.]

Cordelia's good mood was completely ruined by Deanna.

In the afternoon, when she got into Ronan's car, Ronan asked Cordelia, "When did you start following Deanna?"

"When you went to Birchwood last time, she contacted me... and I just followed her." Cordelia wanted to say that Deanna wanted to see the proof of her miscarriage, but she decided not to badmouth Ronan's ex in front of him.

"What did she want from you?" Ronan insisted on knowing.

"She told me her dad saved your life," Cordelia said lightly, omitting the rest.

Ronan frowned slightly but didn't say anything else.

After dinner, Cordelia took a bath with Zenwood Soap. This sandalwood soap was the first one her father brought home when she was a child. Cordelia loved the scent and had been using it ever since. But due to the impact of foreign brands, this soap gradually disappeared from the market.

Also, Cordelia noticed that Ronan seemed to be more gentle with her in bed. After turning off the lights, he would whisper in her ear asking, "Do you like it?"

Cordelia, her lips a deep red, felt like she was the one he deeply loved.

Cordelia genuinely replied, "I really like it."

Because of his tenderness, Cordelia became gentler, and her eyes were filled with a soft glow. Even Barney noticed and asked her, "Della, why do you look more and more beautiful these days?"

"Really? Thank you, Barney." Cordelia stole a glance at Ronan, who was expressionless.
