Hospital.
Grant handled the hospital admission for Ronan and arranged for the best doctor to treat him.
Ronan's injury wasn't severe; he had only suffered a cut on his arm. It was a superficial wound. The doctor had treated and bandaged it, and it was all taken care of.
But Grant felt terribly guilty. After all, Ronan had taken the blow for him, so he arranged a private room for Ronan to rest.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Evans, it's all my fault." Grant said, his face drained of color.
"Would you have been able to handle it?" Ronan asked him.
"No way, I am nowhere near as strong as you, Mr. Evans." Grant replied, with a hint of flattery in his voice.
"Yes, Ronan, you should get some rest." Deanna added.
Deanna had been present throughout the incident, her concern for Ronan's injuries apparent and her anxiety palpable. Now, she made sure Ronan was comfortable in the hospital bed, tucking the blankets around him.
"Rest now." She said.
Her thoughts, however, were elsewhere. She was thinking about the fact that Grant hadn't mentioned the extent of Ronan's injuries to Cordelia, implying that they were severe. This played right into Deanna's plans.
If Cordelia showed indifference towards Ronan, then once she completely gave up on Ronan, he would become even colder towards her.
If Cordelia was deeply worried about Ronan, this would inevitably affect her unborn babies. If something were to happen to the babies now, before they could get back together, their future would be doomed.
Deanna was quite pleased with herself.
"Mr. Evans, someone sent me a message. Would you like me to read it to you?" After being busy for a while, Grant finally picked up his phone to check it.
