Originally, Sienna just wanted to catch Harold. Before Harold went to the gym for a scrimmage, he grabbed a bite in the cafeteria so he wouldn't run out of energy during the match. Unexpectedly, Sienna not only ran into Harold but also bumped into Cordelia.
"Yes."
"Finding a partner after a PhD is no easy task. It was tough back in the day, and now it's even tougher. You need to hurry up," Sienna advised sincerely, assuming an elder's tone.
Harold found these words to be music to his ears. He claimed that Cordelia didn't have a partner yet, even though she had mentioned having a child.
Cordelia was confused. Wasn't Sienna supposed to sabotage her relationship? She should have mentioned Cordelia's previous marriage and child.
Just then, Harold stood behind Cordelia.
"Who's this?" Sienna spotted Harold, pretending not to know him.
"My..." Cordelia was about to say, "My student."
But before she could finish her sentence, Harold cut in, "Boyfriend."
Cordelia frowned slightly and glanced at Harold but said nothing.
Sienna immediately brightened. "I didn't see that coming. A match made in heaven, indeed. I thought you'd never find a partner, Cordelia. Well, that's great. But young man, you better hold onto Cordelia tight, or else, she might slip away. Cordelia, good to see you. Samantha is filming, and I must go.”
Sienna patted Cordelia’s hand and left.
“What was that about...?” Cordelia smoothly freed herself from Harold’s embrace, unsure whether to thank him or slap him.
“Who was that?”
“My aunt. It’s a long story.” With that, Cordelia walked away briskly. It seemed like she needed to clarify her situation to Harold soon, or he might get carried away.
