The Day His Demands Broke My Water novel Chapter 8

Hector's eyes were deep and distant, yet sharp and piercing.

He began tearing at my clothes, his lips biting down on my neck.

“Ivy, you used to love me so much, why are you so cold to me now?”

I struggled, and he pressed my calves down with his legs.

“Hector, you're so full of yourself. Someone like you doesn't deserve my love!”

I remembered that night of our wedding, when he had been just as forceful.

My pleas didn't make him feel pity; instead, it angered him, and his actions grew even more violent.

In the struggle, I slapped him across the face.

“Don't force me to hate you!”

The indifference in my eyes hurt him, and Hector became even more intense.

It seemed that his hand was about to reach under my skirt.

I grabbed the scissors from the nightstand and drove them into his abdomen.

Blood spurted out, and I was terrified, tossing the scissors away.

Hector stared at the blood on his abdomen and smiled cruelly.

“Ivy, if this will make you feel better, I don't mind if you stab me a few more times.”

He pulled out the knife, the blood staining his white shirt.

I was scared and ran, trying to reach the door, but he blocked my way.

“Ivy, please, punish me.”

Hector grabbed my hand, the scissors pointing at his abdomen, ready to stab again.

“Hector, are you out of your mind?”

I broke free from his grip, the scissors falling to the ground.

Hector looked at me, his expression heartbroken.

“Ivy, I've been crazy for two years now. Without you, what's the point of living?”

“If you won't forgive me, I'll die right in front of you!”

He picked up the knife, aiming it at his abdomen again.

“Want to die? It's not that simple, don't dirty Ivy's hands.”

At that moment, the class monitor and a group of people stormed in.

“Ivy, don't be afraid, I'm here to save you.”

The class monitor gently buttoned up my shirt and draped his suit jacket over my shoulders.

His gaze turned cold as he looked at Hector.

“Hector, if you were to compete with me openly and fairly, I'd still respect you, but you're trying to force Ivy with vile methods. I despise you!”

Hector's lips twisted into a self-mocking smile. He wanted to explain but collapsed weakly on the floor.

“Ivy, don't go with him! I won't allow you to go with him!”

I didn't love Hector anymore, but I couldn't bear to see him die in front of me.

The class monitor saw what I was thinking and arranged for someone to take him to the hospital.

Once Hector was in the hospital, the class monitor's people worked to ruin the project he had been negotiating in California, which he had signed after endless negotiations.
