The Day His Demands Broke My Water novel Chapter 95

Peter suddenly snapped back to reality, his eyes turning bloodshot as he looked at his former "brothers."

“Wait… it's you guys! You kept pushing me to fall out with Susan! It's all your fault!”

He completely lost his mind and lunged at them, but there was no way he could beat them alone.

Just then, Linda, who had been silent in the corner, couldn't take it anymore and screamed, “Peter, are you done yet?!”

But the Peter who once cherished her as if she were the world barely glanced at her.

It wasn't until he was pinned to the ground by a few of them that he finally regained his senses and began to struggle madly.

“Let me go! It's all your fault!”

The group wasn't in a better state, either. They were bruised and bloodied.

And at that moment, they stopped pretending. They began to openly mock Peter.

“Peter, do you really think that because we call you ‘bro' we actually consider you a brother?”

“If we weren't curious about what kind of guy Susan would like, do you really think we'd want to hang out with scum like you?”

“You're so stupid, though. You just needed to say a few words and you let us tear you apart from Susan! Watching you crash and burn has been so entertaining!”

Peter stood there, dumbfounded, as regret and sorrow consumed him. He looked at me with guilt in his eyes.

“Sorry, Susan… I was wrong…”

“We've been childhood sweethearts for eighteen years, but what have I done to you all these years?”

He slapped himself hard, kneeling on the ground, begging for my forgiveness in a pitiful display.

But I felt no compassion. Instead, I was filled with disgust and frustration.

I couldn't believe I had once liked someone like him.

“Enough!”

Linda rushed over to Peter, attempting to pull him up.

“You use someone else's proposal venue to propose to me, Peter, is this how you treat me?”

“Now, you're degrading yourself like this for Susan, and you still think I'll just accept it?”

Linda's face was full of humiliation.

But she still wore the ring that Peter had just put on her hand, unwilling to take it off.

Peter's eyes lit up, and he grabbed her hand roughly, forcefully pulling the ring off.

Linda's fingers were scratched by the rough action, leaving several bloodstains, and the pain almost made her cry.

She couldn't hold back anymore, running out crying.

But Peter didn't even look at her, instead, he raised the ring and knelt toward me, anxiously saying, “Susan, I never liked Linda. The only reason I found her was to make you jealous.”

“I've always liked you!”

“Look, I've got the ring back. Please don't marry anyone else, okay?”

“Susan, I beg you…”

He was so humble, it was a side of him I had never seen before.

I slowly reached out my hand, taking the ring from his hopeful gaze.

I softly said, “This ring, I bought it after working part-time for four months, almost fainting a few times from exhaustion.”

“Back then, I really liked you, and I truly wanted to marry you, even willing to put aside all my pride and dignity.”

At that time, I had met him, crying because his parents were arguing.

To comfort him, I casually told him that the his name sounds like “Sun”. His parents must have loved him very much to give him such a name.

I never thought such a small thing would make him remember it for so many years.

Sam smiled at me, “Do you remember now? How could I not know about you?”

“I've been watching you all these years.”

My heart trembled. I hadn't realized that all these years, while I had wasted eighteen years for Peter, there had always been someone quietly waiting for me.

Unable to hold back anymore, I threw myself into his arms and muttered, “Why didn't you appear sooner?”

Sam smiled, “I was just waiting for you to turn around.”

On the day of the wedding, I heard that Peter had been released on bail.

Meanwhile, the others, due to their terrible actions and refusal to admit guilt, were sentenced to two to three years in prison.

I walked in my beautiful wedding dress, step by step, toward Sam, who was waiting for me at the end.

But in my peripheral vision, I seemed to see a familiar figure standing silently in the dark corner, watching me.

I subconsciously looked over.

The figure in black quickly lowered their head, not daring to meet my gaze.

I had already guessed who this person was.

But I didn't pause or look back.

Instead, I slowly walked toward my happiness, leaving him in his desperate gaze.
