“I am sorry Grandma but it isn’t my fault that the Andersons are now attacking Damien’s company.” Marie said in a low tone but the people on the other side heard what she said. 

“It isn’t your fault? When have you ever admitted that anything is your fault? You are always so scheming, what are you scheming right now? Also, don’t you dare call me grandma as I am not your grandma and there is no way that I will ever have such a scheming grandchild like you! Don’t even think of getting married in my family as I will make things hard for you!” Old Mrs Scott responded 

angrily as she never thought the woman had the cheeks to talk to her. 

“Grandma, Marie is so sick kindly try your best not to provoke her,” Damien said in a low soft tone 

as he was happy when Marie defended him. 

“I should try? Let me ask you something. Between her and me, who is the heart disease patient? Whc 

can be sent to the operating room as soon as she is aggravated?” Old Mrs Scott said making Damien 

speechless but he couldn’t find the right words to retort as he knew what his grandmother was saying 

was the truth. 

Marie’s eyes darkened when she saw Damien’s face after he was asking that question. 

‘You are such a coward! So, what if her condition got worse and was sent to the operating room? Isn‘ 

it better if she could just die? In that way, I will be able to enter the Scotts in peace as there 

won’t be anyone against us!‘ Marie said inwardly as she smirked when she thought of that and an ide 

crossed her mind. 

“I am so sorry but I didn’t mean to but what I am saying is true. The Scott Corp isn’t attacked because of me but because of Eunice, Marie said in a soft and guilty tone but they were all shocked 

by her words that they didn’t care about the tone she had used. 

“What are you trying to say?” Eunice asked in disbelief as she couldn’t understand what she had don to make the Andersons angry and they had never crossed paths since the banquet. 

Although she had met Amanda, she didn’t offend the latter. 

“The Andersons claim that you are the one who arranged for Amanda to be kidnapped. That is the reasor they are attacking your family’s company,” Marie added in a low tone and with her head lowered.

“I am sorry Damien. I had to do this as they are blaming you and want to take your position,” Marie 

said in a panic but there was no remorse in her tone when she spoke. 

Damien noticed this and he got angrier. 

“Grandma, I will be back home in a few,” Damien said before hanging up the call and looking at the 

woman who was trying to pretend that she was wronged. 

“Damien….” She said in a panic as she didn’t know what to do but she knew that the damage had already 

been done and there was nothing she could say would make him stop being angry. 

“Why? Do you have to push everything to my sister? I just forgave you but to you, my position is more important than my sister’s? What if she did something stupid as she knows that she is been accused of force? You will never change, will you? Are you with me because of my money and you aren’t willing to be with me if my position is taken away?” Damien asked angrily as he tried his best to control his 

anger as he felt as if he could strangle her to death. 

“Damien, I am so sorry. I love you and I am not with you because of your money or position, kindly 

believe me” Marie said as tears ran down her cheek.
