Seeing Bella’s fury, Zoe lit up with excitement and laughed maniacally. 

Zoe prodded her own cheek with her fingertips and said, “Go on, hit 

me! You must be so angry right now that you want to kill me. Come 

on! Just do it!” 

Bella clenched her fists so hard that her fingernails were digging into 

her skin. But she was fully aware that she couldn’t lay her hands on 

Zoe. 

Zoe was clearly trying to provoke Bella. If she lashed out, it would 

only make things worse. 

Suddenly, there was a crisp sound. 

Bella looked on in shock as Zoe suddenly raised her hand and
