The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1355

“Oh, you finally remembered my presence?” Arnold playfully teased.

He tilted his head and took a quick glance to admire Asher’s handsome profile. “You’ve been ignoring me for over half an hour. I’ve already decided that if you ignore me for one more minute, I’ll ignore you forever.”

Asher felt a flutter in his heart at Arnold’s childish behavior, but he casually asked, “Do you usually have afternoon tea with the aunties?”

“Yeah.”

“You’re young, but you hang out with them every day. Isn’t it boring?” Asher looked at him with a touch of uncertainty in his gaze. “You have the freedom to do anything back in Meridan. Don’t restrain yourself just because you’re back. Just do whatever you want.”

“Oh, what am I supposed to do? Will you be able to handle it?” Arnold playfully teased him, exuding a captivating charm in his eyes that was hard to resist.

Asher felt a lump in his throat and replied coldly, “That’s your business. It has nothing to do with me.”

“Well, that’s true. You have so many things to do and so many things to worry about. Where would he find the energy to think of me?” Arnold couldn’t hide the disappointment in his tone.

Asher pursed his lips and stopped talking.

“I want to get closer to the aunties. After all, if we really become family in the future, there’s no need to worry about building relationships, right? This is called social etiquette, Mr. Thompson.”

‘Family...?’ Asher maintained a calm expression as Arnold, with his fresh oceanic scent, moved nearer to him, his seductive voice in his ears. “Since my aunt married into your family, that makes me her nephew. So technically, we’re family too, right? Haha.”

Arnold sat up straight in the car, his eyes concealing deep feelings.

“I heard from Aunt Celeste that you like eating nuts.” Asher looked straight ahead for a moment, but the muscles under his suit were tense. “Everything brought into this house is for you.”

“Yes, I have liked it since I was a child. Hazelnuts, pistachios, roasted chestnuts... I just can’t get enough of them.”

Arnold was clearly a man, but there was a girlish joy in his expression. “When I was young, my aunt would always peel them for me. I could keep munching on it, and she never got tired until I had enough.”

Asher gazed at him intently and said in a slightly raspy voice, “Next time, I can peel them for you.”
