The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1459

In the washroom by the sink, Axel cleared his throat, almost vomiting up all the liquor he drank. His alcohol tolerance was probably the worst among the Thompson siblings. He could not handle even a little absinthe.

Yet, even after throwing it all up, his head still felt heavy. His throat felt as if it were ravaged by flames.

He thought, ‘Axel... Look at yourself. She doesn’t even care about you. Why are you tormenting yourself?’

Axel splashed his face with cold water. He ran his fingers through his hair and pushed back the damp bangs from his forehead. Pale from vomiting, his handsome face, exposed under the soft light, remained captivating even in his disheveled state.

“Really, it’s just a waste of time…” He massaged his temples with his fingertips. The restless emotions still weighed heavily on his mind.

As he pushed the door open, he collided with a warm and fragrant body outside the door.

“Ah!” Roza let out a soft gasp. She was wearing high heels tonight. At this moment, her body swayed backward, and she lost balance.

Though Axel was slightly tipsy, his reflexes were still remarkably fast. He swiftly grabbed her delicate waist as she began to fall.

Their eyes met as their warm bodies pressed tightly against each other, feeling each other’s rising body heat.

Breaths, rapid and heated, intertwine in an intimate dance of the tongue. The memories of that life-saving kiss with Roza resurfaced in Axel’s mind. A kiss that kept him tossing and turning. He savored every moment and was reluctant to let go.

This time, his eyes are overflowing with affection, still unwilling to let her go.

“Can... Can you let go of me?” Roza asked anxiously as she instinctively pressed her palm against his chest.

“Why are you ignoring me?” Perhaps fueled by alcohol and coupled with his straightforward nature, Axel could not hold back the words he had been suppressing all night. “Do you not recognize me? Ms. Walker, are you that forgetful?”
