The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1470

Hunter refuted it with a fake smile. “Winston killed Ms. Linny. He was caught in the act and found guilty. Mrs. Salvador was framed. I’m here to clear her name.”

Steven sneered, “Are you saying her arrest for corruption, bribery, abuse of power, framing others, and drug use is unjustified?"

“Don’t put words in my mouth. Mrs. Salvador is not blameless, but her crimes do not warrant the death penalty. Besides, she never killed anyone. She will own up to her crimes, but she doesn’t need to take the fall over the personal vendetta you have.”

Steven fell into silence with furrowed brows.

If Steven snapped at Hunter in a fit of rage, it would be an open invitation for Hunter to attack Bella.

The press stared coldly at Hunter, even cheering Steven on in their minds.

Half an hour before the trial, Hunter got to meet Shannon one more time as her attorney.

Despite the prison garb and handcuffs, Shannon sat composedly in the interview room, her hair neatly done.

Even in prison, she worked on her upkeep. She was able to keep up with her appearance under the protection of the Salvadors. She knew Gregory had not turned his back on her entirely, so she did not let herself go. She stayed on a diet to watch her weight and tug on her husband’s heartstrings.

So long as she could get out, she would make a comeback. Shannon was confident that she could grab Gregory’s attention again, just like when she stole him from Mary 25 years ago.

With that in mind, Shannon asked eagerly, with a sparkle in her eyes, “Mr. Lovett, you must clear my name and get me out of here. If I am released, I will give you anything you want, including the position of Salvador Corporation’s legal consultant. Why don’t you be a part of the Salvador family? My eldest daughter can marry you. The Thompsons won’t be a threat to you. You can crush your traitor of a brother.”
