The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1529

As they left the prison, Ryan kept Carrie in his embrace the whole time. The man’s warm breath surrounded her, but Carrie still trembled slightly against his chest.

“Honey, you…” Ryan pursed his lips, suddenly at a loss for words.

What should he say to comfort her?

“We’ll come next time” and “my condolences” would not do.

“Ryan.” Carrie hung her head low, her eyes still swollen, with tears on her eyelashes. “Thank you… Thank you for letting me see her one last time. It’s enough, really… I won’t ask anything more from you in the future.”

“Honey! What are you saying?!”

Ryan immediately panicked, quickly kneeling before her on one knee and grabbing her cold hands. He looked into her moist eyes with an anxious gaze. “What do you mean you won’t ask anything more?! Then what do you need me for? What motivation do I have to fight for power? What will I have to look forward to?!”

“Ryan…” Carrie took a small step back.

“From now on, whatever you want or wish to do, just say the word. No matter what you ask for, I will satisfy you.”

Thinking of how Carrie lost her composure in front of him that day, Ryan felt a surge of pain in his heart, and his throat turned dry. “Carrie… You are the one I love most. I want to give you the whole world. It was my fault that day. I shouldn’t strip you of your right to see your mother one last time. It will never happen again, I swear.”

Carrie suddenly threw herself at Ryan, tears welling up, her thin arms wrapping around the man’s neck as she hugged him tightly.

“I don’t have a mother anymore…”

“Don’t be afraid. You have your husband, a brother and sister-in-law who loves you, and Grandpa.”

Ryan patted Carrie’s back, saying, “Don’t cry, babe. Take my hand, and I will make you the happiest woman in the world.”

He had enough courage and patience to love her.

He was only afraid that he would not do well enough. He was afraid of making her angry and pushing her heart further away from him.

Yasmin stood beside the car, watching this heartwarming scene from a distance as she smiled in relief.

Her boss finally had a home. She hoped he would hold his wife’s hand forever.
