The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1543

Yasmin’s eyelashes fluttered as she glanced at the sumptuous dinner she had prepared and then looked worriedly at Carrie.

They had initially planned for the three of them to have dinner together, and Yasmin had started the preparations in the afternoon. Although Carrie was not very skilled in cooking, she had helped out, bustling around the kitchen like a lively little top.

But now, it seemed like Ryan would not be staying for dinner.

While Yasmin did not mind, she was concerned that Carrie would be disappointed.

“Ryan, aren’t you staying for dinner?” Carrie asked, her delicate brows slightly furrowed and her eyes wide like a deer’s.

Ryan smiled widely, unable to resist walking over to his delicate girlfriend. He placed his large hand on her head, gently ruffling her soft hair. “I have some business to attend to tonight, so I won’t be eating at home.”

“Can’t you make an exception tonight?”

Carrie’s dense eyelashes fluttered as she looked at him with a pitiful expression. “Yasmin has been busy all day preparing this meal... It’s her way of showing she cares. Could you stay and eat before you go?”

“Young Madam, it’s really not a big deal!”

Seeing Carrie speak up for her, Yasmin felt both surprised and honored. Her face flushed as she shook her head vigorously. “It’s nothing but a few simple dishes. Your work is more important, Young Master. I’ll send you off now.”

“It does matter! You took a long time to prepare everything. It must’ve been really tiring!” Carrie interjected.

Carrie held Ryan’s large hand with her small, slightly sweaty palm. “Can you please stay and eat before you go? Yasmin worked so hard for this.”

Carrie genuinely liked Yasmin.

They spend a lot of time with each other daily. She was with Yasmin much more than she was with Ryan. There were many things she was too shy to say to Ryan but felt completely at ease sharing with Yasmin.

Carrie rarely made requests to Ryan. The last request she made was when she wanted to see her mother for one last time. This was the second time she had done so.
