The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1546

Liam glanced at Selena in annoyance and thought to himself that it was unnecessary for her to bring this up at such a critical moment.

Although Carrie was Shannon’s daughter, she was still Gregory’s daughter and undoubtedly a member of the Salvador family.

While Liam intended to use the girl for his plans, he certainly did not want Ryan to actually marry Carrie. That would mean a legitimate alliance between prominent families, positioning Gregory as Ryan’s father-in-law.

That would only make Ryan even more powerful!

At this moment, Liam had two options. He could either use the girl to threaten Ryan so the latter would not become CEO of Hoffman Group or allow Ryan to be the CEO but prevent a marriage alliance with the Salvador family.

Ryan’s words made the atmosphere in the dining room tense.

Logan’s thick, white eyebrows furrowed, and he avoided looking at his grandson.

But just as Logan was about to speak, Claire could not hold back any longer and blurted out, “Ryan, don’t you understand the rules of our family gathering? Only members of the Hoffman family are allowed to attend. Why would you bring an outsider?”

“Outsider?” Ryan could feel his anger building up inside. His eyes narrowed, and his handsome face turned icy. “It does not matter. Carrie will soon be a part of the Hoffman family as my wife.”

Claire’s throat tightened. “Ryan, why do you always do this? Do you think that this is the right time to talk about such matters?”

Claire nodded in agreement, while Liam and Selena indulged in their food and drink, but both unintentionally flashed subtle smirks.

Only Ryan seemed to be plunged into an icy abyss. His eyes reddened, and a chill spread throughout his body.

“My grandson from the Hoffman family is of higher status compared to Justin Salvador. Why settle for any woman, let alone marry the daughter of a murderer? If this gets out, we’ll become the laughingstock of society!”

Logan’s expression turned cold as he shook his head. “I can’t agree to this union. It’s simply not right.”

“Grandpa! Shannon is responsible for her own mistakes. What does that have to do with Carrie?!”
