Bella’s eyes remained cold. “Even so, Dad always did right by him. He did not stop to consider what he would put Dad through when he stole from the company for his personal gain. All he saw was the glory of becoming a chairman, not the hard work behind it.

“Dad might let the matter go, but I won’t. I can’t look the other way!”

Justin met Asher’s complicated gaze.

They knew Bella, known for her iron-fist management style, could not tolerate Cameron’s behavior.

Even with the heating blasting, the tension remained icy.

To relieve the uneasiness, Justin racked his brain to change the subject.

“You look good in that suit, Asher.”

Bella glanced at Asher and noticed he was wearing a Roza masterpiece.

Asher curled his lips faintly. “It was a gift from Dr. Larson.”

His delighted tone held a hint of bragging.

Justin replied, “Oh, I see.”

“Ahem… Don’t take things the wrong way. The gift was to thank me for the months of concern.” Acting like he had something to hide, Asher felt a burn in his cheeks.

Justin was surprised. “Take things the wrong way? How so?”

Asher sat up straight and turned his face away, his heart racing.
