Ryan’s grimacing eyes lit up as he eagerly made his way to Carrie. He pulled her into his arms, his voice trembling in lingering fear. “I’m sorry. It’s my fault that I didn’t get there in time.

“I’m sorry for the hurt and pain you went through. I could’ve done a better job protecting you. Just hit me. Take your anger out on me.”

Everybody was shocked.

Ryan, the Grim Reaper in the business, was lovestruck.

Carrie had the magic powers to put Ryan in his place.

“Ryan, why did you say that about Ralph? Why?”

Due to her autism, Carrie was stubbornly persistent on certain matters. “Why did you say that about Ralph? If it wasn’t for Ralph, I would’ve been dead. Ralph saved my life. Why did you have to be mean? Why?”

“Ralph didn’t do anything wrong. He risked his life to save mine. Don’t say that about him, alright?” Carrie would not let go of the matter until she got through to Ryan. Otherwise, she would not be able to focus on anything else.

Bella’s anxious voice boomed during the call. “We saw the news about Savrow Art Academy and that you were heading a team there. Aunt Mila saw the news, and you didn’t pick up her calls. Since Justin and I are here, she asked us to pay you a visit.”
