The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1739

Suddenly, Ryan did not feel like going to work anymore.

As he kissed her rosy lips, his hand moved to loosen his tie.

“Don’t…”

Carrie gasped softly, her face flushing as she caught his hand. “It’s already tied perfectly. Don’t ruin it. Let’s wait until you come back…”

“Alright. You’ll make it up to me tonight then,” Ryan whispered huskily, his voice laced with desire as he nuzzled her ear.

Her cheeks flushed a deeper shade of pink, and she nodded shyly.

Yasmin had prepared breakfast. She was standing at the door, not wanting to intrude.

She could hear the intimate whispers and amorous sounds from inside the room. A smile played on her lips.

Ryan always lingered with Carrie until the very last moment before leaving.

“Darling, I have a gift for you.”

Ryan lifted Carrie and placed her gently on the chair in front of the vanity. Then he opened a long jewelry box.

“Oh… It’s so beautiful!” The white jade hairpin shimmered, and Carrie could not help but exclaim in awe.

“I know you don’t like jewelry. I’ve bought you a lot of jewelry before, and you never wore any. But I want you to wear this. Let me put it on for you.”

Ryan stood behind her and gently lifted her silky hair. He then somewhat clumsily arranged it into a bun, as Yasmin had taught him.

For Carrie, he had done things he never thought he would.

Yet, he still felt it was not enough. He thought he owed her so much more than he was already doing.

After a while, Ryan finished arranging the bun and inserted the jade hairpin.

Although the jade hairpin was exquisite, his delicate fiancee was even more stunning. Her skin was fair, and her eyes were bright and lively, making even the finest treasures pale in comparison.

“Carrie, do you know what it means when a man ties a woman’s hair?”
