The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1759

In an instant, James became the target of everyone’s gaze.

Mrs. Iverson stared at Colin's face, trembling and cowering in Christopher’s arms. Her muddled eyes were bloodshot, and her whole body shook violently, teetering on the edge of collapse.

Even though Sophie was mostly in a state of mental confusion, the sight of the man who had brought her great humiliation all those years ago triggered a deep-seated resentment within her.

Bella felt a pang of sympathy for Sophie. No matter how many wrongs Christopher had committed, his mother was innocent. However, Bella was in no position to offer the poor woman any comfort. She would not give Christopher any chances.

Still unclear about the situation, Lance looked at Christopher in surprise. “Christopher, why did you bring this man here?”

“James, do you want to explain what you did back then to Dad, or should I do it for you?” Christopher’s icy gaze locked onto James.

“Christopher, your act is getting more and more elaborate.” James’ heart pounded like a drum, but he maintained a disdainful facade, determined to hold his ground. “I don’t know this person. This happened fifteen years ago, and even Dad doesn’t remember him. You’ve dragged in some shabby actor claiming to be Dad’s bodyguard. Faking evidence requires at least some semblance of credibility.”

“Fifteen years ago?” Christopher smirked, his eyes full of mockery. “I haven’t even mentioned what happened, and you already know it was fifteen years ago. It seems you’re very well-informed.”

James’ heart tightened. He didn’t want to argue any longer and yelled through gritted teeth, “Guards! Get this nobody out of here!”

Just as the Iverson family’s bodyguards stepped forward to handle the situation, Colin suddenly lunged at James, screaming hysterically. “James! It’s all your fault that I’m in this state! You made me approach and seduce Mrs. Iverson, but she resisted. So you found two thugs and had her drugged. You even kidnapped her to a hotel and forced me to fake having slept with her just to take those compromising photos to send to Chairman Iverson!”
