The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1810

Ryan could even imagine how harshly Logan must have argued in order to ruin the happiness he had painstakingly worked to achieve.

Matt watched the dignified young man turn pale with distress, his eyes instantly welling up. He felt uneasy but could only speak softly.

“Mr. Hoffman, you are well aware of Ms. Carrie’s condition. In truth, Old Master never intended for her to be married. She is not suited for it. Old Master, along with the Young Master Justin and Young Madam, can support Ms. Carrie for her entire life. Compared to being a wife in a prominent family, Ms. Carrie is actually more suitable to live carefree as the jewel of our Salvador family.

“You have done nothing wrong. It’s just that fate is not on your side. You don’t need to create further tension with your family. Old Master does not require any particular answer from you. It’s best to leave things here. Having cherished memories is enough, isn’t it?”

Matt knew how cruel these words were to Ryan, who deeply loved Carrie. Yet, this was the most tactful way he could think of to convey to him that Ryan’s love for Carrie no longer had a future.

“Have you ever considered how Carrie feels about all this?!” Ryan’s eyes were bloodshot, and his shoulders shook violently. “Carrie loves me! We cannot be without each other! In this day and age, why are we still following parental orders? I love her no matter what, and I can endure any pressure to be with her! We love each other. Our love will be enough! Why can’t we be together? Why?!”

Knowing that further words would be futile, Matt bowed once more and turned to leave.

“Can’t I quit being the CEO? Can’t I cut all ties with the entire Hoffman Group? I can give up everything... I just want Carrie!” Ryan hoarsely shouted, his voice strained to the limit.

Only the chilling wind whistled in response.

After a while, a familiar and delicate figure approached the frail man. It was Yasmin.

“Mr. Hoffman, let me take you home,” Yasmin said in a subdued tone. Her eyes were swollen from crying.
