The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1813

Something jerked inside Bethany the moment she saw Justin.

She felt like a mouse who ran into a cat. Her first instinct was to scamper away into the dark and never surface again.

Gregory’s cold gaze swept across Justin’s stern expression. Then Gregory hurriedly got up and approached Nigel. “Dad, you should have told me you were coming. I could have welcomed you outside.”

“It’s not like I’m visiting as a guest. This is my house! Besides, I wouldn’t dare trouble Chairman Salvador himself to welcome me.” Nigel scoffed. He had never been very pleasant with his son.

The look in Gregory’s eyes darkened.

It was clear that the old man was implying that Tideview Manor did not belong to Gregory. Gregory should not presume himself to be the owner of the place just because he lived here.

“Grandpa, I heard Carrie has been recovering at your place. How has she been doing? Is she feeling better?” Bethany perched awkwardly behind Gregory and pretended to express concern for her younger sister.

“She’s feeling much better. The brat has been living a good life at my place.”

With that, Nigel turned toward Justin and asked suspiciously, “Justin, seeing as you took me back here to see your father, did you have something you want to tell us?”

Justin lowered himself and straightened the cashmere blanket covering Nigel’s lap. He narrowed his eyes and said, “Haven’t you been wondering who was the one colluding with the Hoffmans by leaking Carrie’s mental diagnosis report? Dad, you also mentioned you wanted to find out who betrayed us, didn’t you? That person has been hiding in plain sight this entire time.”

As soon as he finished his sentence, Justin cast a piercing look at Bethany, whose face was distorted with fear.

“Why, why are you looking at me?!” Bethany began sweating out of fear. She pathetically stumbled backward, even knocking over an expensive tea set on the table.

She cried out. “What are you trying to say? Are you suggesting that I was the one who leaked the information?! Even if you can’t find the culprit, you shouldn’t lash out and blame it on me!”

Gregory and Nigel cast an astonished look at Bethany.
