The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1845

Carrie came to see Ryan alone.

She was still wearing the white plush loungewear she often wore at the Willow Creek Villa. Her cute and playful appearance made the corners of Ryan’s pale lips curl upward uncontrollably.

As he smiled, a tear slipped from the corner of his eye.

When their eyes met, an endless tide of emotions surged and swelled in their pounding hearts.

The man before her, her beloved Ryan, had become so thin that she almost did not recognize him. She fought to suppress her heartache. Her lips were tightly pressed together, and she dared not utter a word.

She was afraid that she would start crying if she spoke.

If she cried, all her resolve would crumble.

Ryan’s steps were heavy as he walked up to his beloved, his eyes red-rimmed as he pulled her into a tight embrace.

Tears streamed down Carrie’s face instantly. However, she could only cry silently, not daring to make a sound or respond to his embrace.

But still, her erratic breathing and uncontrollable heartbeat betrayed her emotions completely.

There were three things a person could not hide—a cough, poverty, and love.

Ryan had held back many words along the way.

He wanted to ask her why she was marrying Jason Solloway.

But in the end, he could not help but say, “Why are you wearing so little? What if you catch a cold?”

Carrie rested her forehead against his chest and gently shook her head.

Yasmin and Dean turned their eyes away, unable to bear the sight. Their hearts ached for the star-crossed lovers.

After a while, Ryan’s cold lips brushed against Carrie’s reddened ear, murmuring a plea, “Carrie… Please don’t marry someone else… Please just come home with me.”

The person in his arms remained silent. Only her warm tears soaked his heaving chest.

After a moment, Carrie bit down hard. She pushed him away with all her strength.
