The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1877

On this night, some people were on edge, while others schemed in the shadows.

Inside Pivotage, Yvonne led Jace through the dimly lit, luxurious hallways. The man behind her was like a bat lurking in the darkness, sending shivers down her spine.

Christopher had been waiting for some time in a highly secretive room.

“Mr. Bailiff, I didn’t expect us to meet again so soon.”

Christopher smiled and handed him a glass of wine he personally poured. “It’s been a long trip. I specially prepared this top-tier wine to welcome you.”

Jace’s expression was cold and aloof as he blocked the wine glass unblinkingly, showing no respect for his boss’s appointed person in charge of Savrow.

“Ms. Yvonne has briefed me on the way here.”

Seeing that Jace refused to drink, Christopher downed the glass himself. “Really? That saves me some trouble.”

“Christopher, you keep bothering a young girl. Do you think I have nothing better to do?” Jace looked at him coldly.

“Tsk, why? Mr. Bailiff, are you showing sympathy for a beauty?”

Christopher glanced sideways at him, his slender finger swirling the glass of wine. “It seems you are not as cold-blooded as I thought. You still have a soft spot.”

“I just found it beneath me. The things you made me do were too debasing.”

Jace’s brows furrowed, his words hidden with blades. “Our boss promoted you as Savrow’s person in charge, but your only strategy to retaliate against your enemies was to kidnap someone’s wife and children. You even had to find outside help. Pivotage should just shut down early.”

Yvonne’s long lashes fluttered, feeling inexplicably satisfied.

In Pivotage, no one dared to speak to Christopher so rudely.

But Jace did not care. He worked for Grant and only listened to the latter.
