The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1922

As the other car blocked the police officer at the hospital, Dean was able to escape successfully.

The black car sped along the neon-lit roads of Savrow.

Ryan stared out the window with a dark gaze, his eyes empty and desolate. Under the shifting lights, his face was still handsome as usual, but it carried an indescribable sense of loneliness and sorrow, as if he had completely changed.

Dean stared at him deeply, trying to find a shadow of the man he once knew, but there were no traces left.

He was completely broken.

“I didn’t give an order. You shouldn’t have done something extra.” After a long silence, Ryan finally said, “We have many chances to kill Liam, but you chose the riskiest way.”

“Sorry, Mr. Hoffman.”

Dean lowered his head, clenching his fists tightly in resentment. “But… I want him dead so badly. It’s a mercy to let him live for one more day on earth! Sorry… I know I’ve caused you trouble. I’m willing to take responsibility for it! If the police trace it to you, please give me up. I’ve gotten my revenge and have no regrets anymore. I’m willing to confess my crimes…”

Ryan closed his eyes and cut Dean’s words off with a wave of his hand. “I didn’t want you to do it because I’m worried you’d sacrifice yourself.”

Dean’s heart thumped, his eyes widening. “Mr. Hoffman…”

“You’re all I have left.”

Ryan’s throat bobbed, pain spreading in his heart. “You were Yasmin’s best friend when she was alive. If anything happened to you, I wouldn’t be able to face Yasmin in the afterlife.”

“Thank you…” Dean finally could not hold back anymore, tears of shame streaming down.

“Is he dead?”

“Yes. I watched him take his last breath. Rest assured, Mr. Hoffman. He died painfully. I won’t let him have an easy death.”
