The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1953

Logan’s funeral was conducted elegantly, with the help of the Salvador and Thompson families.

As the day drew to a close, the Hoffman family members dispersed, leaving only Ryan kneeling before the grave, staring at his grandfather’s portrait without moving.

Bella had returned home to accompany Wyatt, while Justin stayed with Ryan until the end.

“Ryan, you have been too exhausted these days. Go back and rest,” Justin said, sighing softly. He felt a pang of sorrow as he stepped forward to help him up, only to find the man unyielding like iron.

“I cannot rest. There is still Yasmin’s funeral,” Ryan responded almost mechanically.

The deep-seated exhaustion that permeated his every word cut through Justin’s heart like a knife.

In recent days, no one dared to mention that name, knowing it was a bleeding wound in Ryan’s heart that would never heal.

“I will help you. Don’t worry, I will handle everything.” Justin's voice was hoarse and raw. Yasmin was gone. Nothing he could say could ease the pain.

“I remember Yasmin once saying... She liked a simple, peaceful life. Even for her funeral, she would want it to be modest and quiet, like a raindrop disappearing into the earth.” Ryan struggled to draw a breath, a hint of a bitter smile forming at the corner of his eyes before it shattered.

“But she followed me through fights and chaos, never living a day of peace. Justin, I ruined her life. I caused her death. She has no family left in this world. How can I make it up to her? How can I repay her?”

Justin kneeled beside him, patiently patting his back.

“Ryan, don’t be like this. Yasmin would not want to see you so downcast. You must be strong to protect the Hoffman family and take care of Carrie. Only then will her efforts not be in vain.”
