The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1960

The night was pitch black, only illuminated by the moon high in the sky. When they returned to the villa, Justin retreated to his study. Bella stood by the window with her hair still wet from her bath, lost in thought. She dwelled on Grant’s words, carefully dissecting each one. He intrigued her deeply.

She prided herself on understanding people. When Christopher showered her with flattery, she easily saw through his facade. Yet, with Grant, she sensed no hostility. He was gentle and refined, like a breath of fresh air. Even more surprising was his willingness to test the medicine for Carrie personally. Even if his intentions were not entirely pure, the stakes were so high.

Bella frowned, her mind racing. ‘Grant, who are you really?’

Suddenly, she felt warm arms wrapping tightly around her waist.

“You little lazy cat, not drying your hair when I’m not around, hmm?” Justin’s voice came from behind her. His warm breath tickled her neck, making her flush a rosy red. “If you catch a cold, it hurts me too.”

“When did you get here? You startled me,” Bella replied softly.

“What were you thinking about so deeply?” Justin asked, kissing her earlobe.

“Your older brother,” Bella replied absentmindedly, her gaze still in the middle distance.

Justin’s heart dropped at these words. His kiss turned into a bite, punishing her for her carelessness.

“Ouch, that hurts... Ah!” Bella exclaimed as he forcefully turned her around, gripping her chin and staring her down.

Just looking into his eyes made her feel weak and tremble slightly.
