The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1973

Ryan lowered his head, looking somewhat embarrassed. “I’m only worried you won’t come.”

Ralph choked up and stepped forward to give him a big hug.

Back in the car, Carrie was wrapped in a blanket, obediently leaning against the window to rest.

Her body was still too weak. Even though she was in a wheelchair the entire time, going out was still a little too much for her current state.

“The window is cold. Lean against me.” Ryan spread his long arms and gently pulled her into his embrace, resting his chin on her head and rubbing her hair softly.

The car drove toward the hospital smoothly.

Carrie lay against the man’s chest and suddenly felt something hard. She raised her head and looked at him in confusion.

“Did it poke you?” Ryan hesitated and then took out Yasmin’s diary from his chest pocket.

“Ah! Ah!” Carrie’s red eyes widened.

Once, when Ryan was on a business trip, she could not fall asleep at night and went to search for Yasmin in her room.

She unintentionally saw Yasmin writing something in this pink notebook. When Yasmin saw her, she hid the notebook in a panic, her pretty face flushing.

“Carrie, this is Yasmin’s diary.”

Ryan handed the notebook to her. His breath hitched as he said, “I think she had feelings for me... I don’t want to keep it from you.”

Carrie lowered her eyes and did not take it. Her thin body wriggled in the blanket for a while before she pulled out her phone.

She opened the notes app and typed something, showing it to Ryan. [I know. Yasmin has always loved you dearly.]

Ryan’s pupils contracted. His throat felt dry and hoarse. “Carrie, how did you know? Did she tell you?!”

Carrie shook her head lightly, typing again. [I was with Yasmin every day. She took care of me, so I had many chances to get to know her. Ryan, you were with her every day too. Couldn’t you see it? When you love someone, you can’t hide it in your eyes. I sensed it a long time ago.]

Ryan’s mouth hung open in shock. At this moment, he was the one at a loss for words.
