The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1976

The next moment, Christopher’s hand holding the gun moved behind Yvonne. He pulled her by the waist to press her tightly against himself.

“You did well this time. Not only do I not blame you for what happened, but I’d like to commend you for it. Thanks to you, that woman by Ryan’s side is dead. She lost her composure, acted rashly, and fell into Liam’s trap because you leaked the information to her. She lost her life because of that. It caused Ryan immense pain, even turning his hair white overnight.”

Yvonne’s face was expressionless.

She felt like every word he spoke was like a knife stabbing into her heart, peeling away chunks of her flesh, and leaving behind a mess of shame and agony.

“Continue to follow your plans and act freely. I know you won’t disappoint me.”

Christopher released her. His playful gaze traced the curves of her waist. “You look really good in Drew Brown’s coat. Remember to wear this at his funeral.”

When Yvonne returned to her room, the setting sun outside the window dyed her pale face with a layer of tragic red.

She stumbled to the full-length mirror and slowly took off the black trench coat.

In the mirror, she was naked. Her trembling, slender body was covered in shameful bruises. Those were proof of what Christopher had done to her all afternoon.

The seemingly gentlemanly beast had not truly taken her. However, he tormented her in every possible way.

Throughout the man’s cruel acts, she did not make a sound. She just laid there like a corpse.

In fact, she had already died long ago.

Even though Christopher’s gun had no bullets, the moment he pulled the trigger, it was as if he had killed her.

Yvonne tilted her head back slightly, but tears streamed down her cheeks uncontrollably, washing over her face repeatedly.

Time was running out for her.

Next time, Christopher would surely use a loaded gun.
