Yvonne returned to the utility room. As soon as she stepped through the door, she felt someone grab her arm.

Suddenly, a warm, muscular body pressed against her. Yvonne trembled as they locked eyes. She was immediately captivated by the man’s sharp gaze.

She had always lived in darkness, but she felt like his eyes were a ray of sunlight.

“Ms. Smith, did you forget something when you left earlier?” Drew teased.

“What…” Yvonne clung to the wall, her chest heaving.

Drew smirked, his nose brushed against hers, gentle and playful. He whispered, “You forgot to take my heart.”

Yvonne’s expression cleared, and she burst into laughter.

“Tsk, what’s so funny?” Drew raised an eyebrow.

“Young Master Drew, you’ve never had a serious girlfriend before, am I right? Most girls wouldn’t be able to stand such a corny joke.” Yvonne covered her mouth and giggled uncontrollably.

He pouted and clicked his tongue. “It’s so romantic!”

“A funny pickup line is just a joke.” Before Yvonne could finish speaking, she saw her silver necklace being dangled in front of her.

“My necklace! Give it back to me!” Yvonne touched her neck in panic. She did not realize it had fallen off.

She reached out to grab it, but Drew held it high out of her reach. She stood on her tiptoes, desperate to reach it.

“The pretty girl in the locket… Who is she?”

“Just a friend!”

Yvonne flushed red, jumping for the necklace.
