The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 2026

“You animal… G-Give me… Give me the medicine…”

A loud crash echoed through the room.

Lance could no longer hold himself up. Clutching his chest in agony, he collapsed straight to the floor, knocking over the coffee table.

“Dad, I’ll give you one last chance.”

Christopher leaned in slightly, looking down at him like a man would regard a dying, pathetic old dog. “If you kneel down and beg me right now, I’ll give you the medicine. You always taught us to recognize when to yield. Isn’t that what you said when we were kids?”

“Bastard... Dream on!”

Lance’s face twisted in fury, his eyes filled with hatred as he tried to crawl toward Christopher’s feet. However, no matter how hard he struggled, he could not get up.

Christopher took a step back, as if Lance were filthy and repulsive.

Lance’s pallor turned from ghastly white to ashen gray.

The sight of his father’s suffering stirred a dark pleasure in Christopher’s heart. He could not help but laugh, his laughter growing so intense that tears began to well up at the corners of his reddened eyes.

“I’ve already sent your favorite son on his way. I don’t mind sending you to join him. Go on, reunite with your precious son, Charles, in the afterlife.”

“Charles… My… My Charles…” Lance stared with bloodshot eyes, his parched and cracked lips parting as he reached out desperately for Christopher’s pants.

Suddenly, his agonized expression froze.

That withered, stiff hand finally fell limp just inches away from Christopher’s feet.

The room plunged into a deathly silence, cold and still as a tomb.

Christopher stood motionless. He lowered his head to gaze at the man who now lay dead at his feet, eyes wide open. The man died with a remaining grievance.

“Dad, if only I weren’t your son... If so, I wouldn’t have minded so much what you did to me and Mom. I could have found a way to reconcile with you.”

His fingers curled into his palms, pressing so hard they left deep marks.

Christopher murmured so softly that only he could hear himself. “I was supposed to be your best child. I could have walked a wide and righteous path. I could have stood before Bella with no shame, like Justin. However, you destroyed the real Christopher. You destroyed the humane and kind Christopher with your own hands. I’m not the one at fault… You were the one at fault from the beginning.”

Lance’s secretary and Taylor were waiting outside the chairman’s office. They were completely unaware of the events happening within its soundproof walls.

Suddenly, the door burst open. Christopher staggered out, looking lost and disheveled.

“Quick... Call an ambulance! My dad! He’s having a heart attack! Hurry, call an ambulance!”
