Gregory clutched his chest, his fury evident. “Dad! You’re really…”

“Besides, now that Justin has woken up, this matter is over.” Nigel’s gaze was firm, filled with unwavering protectiveness. “From now on, if you so much as glare at Anna again, don’t call me your father! I can’t believe you’re using your elderly status to bully a young girl. What an achievement!”

Although Nigel did not slap Gregory, the sting of humiliation still burned across Gregory’s cheeks. It was not that better off from getting a slap.

Justin turned his gaze toward her, his expression blank as he watched her sob. He was eerily silent.
