The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 2336

Chapter 2336 Justin felt his breath catch in his throat, and it was as if his feet were trapped in thick vines, immobilizing him.

Ian observed Justin’s tense posture, noticing the slight quiver in his broad shoulders, and a sense of unease crept into his own heart.

“What did you say?” Justin asked, his voice tense as he fought to contain a surge of emotion.

“T heard Mr. Grant mention how you were seriously injured on the battlefield years ago, and a female doctor saved your life. You’ve been trying to find her ever since because you’re grateful for what she did."

Justin’s back stiffened further. His eyes narrowed as he asked coldly, "

This is a private affair of mine. Did my brother really share this with you?"

“Mr. Grant told me because I used to work as a doctor in Kridor. He was hoping I could help uncover any leads about the whereabouts of this woman who saved your life. Now, we finally have something. Mr. Justin, don’t you want to at least see your Little Dove who risked everything to save you? Just once in your life?” Clarice’s voice was filled with emotion, almost trembling as she spoke passionately, urging him.

Justin felt his heart ache, and he squeezed his eyes shut.

When he had gone to Meridan to visit Grant and discovered that Clarice had worked with Doctors Without Borders in Kridor, he had considered asking her about the mysterious Little Dove who had saved his life. But bringing it up during their first meeting had seemed too sudden.

He could not quite grasp why Clarice was so eager to help him track down this woman. Still, he knew this was a rare and precious lead, and he did not want to let it slip away.

“Do you really know where she is? Where is she? Is she in Savrow?"

Justin asked, his voice was low, laced with urgency he could not hide.

“No, she’s in Fogville. I’ve already sent people to search for her, and I just got to the Fogville Airport myself,” Clarice replied. Her voice had a mix of excitement and uncertainty.

“But I’ve never met anyone that knows her, so I don’t know what she looks like. All I can say is, the information I have seems to fit her description pretty well. Even if I did recognize her, what right would I have to hold her? That would only frighten her and be inappropriate. So, it’s best if you come to Fogville in person, Mr. Justin. If this opportunity slips away, who knows when another might come?"

Fogville was not close to Savrow. Even with a private jet, it would take three hours to get there.

If he went to Fogville, he would have to break his promise to Bella today.

Justin pursed his lips, his gaze fixed on the time.

Time ticked away. The time he had promised to meet Bella was fast approaching, and his brow furrowed with a conflicted, uncertain expression. There was an inner turmoil burning in his eyes.

Normally, he was not one to go back on his word or break a promise. But this time, it was different.

But Justin was still nowhere to be seen.

Bella was really concerned at first. She was afraid the snowy roads had gotten slippery and he might have gotten into an accident, which would explain why he was late.

Bella tried to call him, but her phone had no signal. This was not surprising given the mountainous location and its unstable reception.

As the minutes ticked by, Bella’s worry only grew.

The winter chill seeped through Bella’s entire body, enveloping her like an icy shroud.

She stood there like a stone statue waiting for her lover’s return, eyes straining to catch sight of his commanding figure.

No one knew Justin better than she did. He was not the type who would stand anyone up. Whether it was with her, clients, or friends, he always arrived early if he could, never late, and never vanished without good reason.

Even if he had been in an accident, he would have forced himself to get there no matter what.

How could he not show up at all?!
