Drew was drenched, but he paid no heed to himself.
His large hands firmly gripped Yvonne’s trembling shoulders. “Don’t be afraid... I’m here! Don’t be afraid!”
Yvonne stared at him blankly. Her lips parted, her face pale, like someone who had just escaped from the suffocating depths of the ocean.
“Did you have a nightmare? Don’t worry... I’m here; your husband’s here.” Drew’s voice trembled with panic as he held her tightly in his arms.
“I... I can wash myself,” Yvonne stammered, trembling violently as she tried to cover the old scars on her body.
Those years under Christopher’s torment in Pivotage had left countless scars—both physical and emotional. The flood of shameful, dark memories overwhelmed her, leaving her gasping for air.
The reason she never allowed the lights on during intimacy was her deep psychological scars surrounding the subject. She had always bathed alone, unwilling to let anyone, especially the one she loved most, see the ugly marks that bore witness to her painful past.
Drew’s eyes flickered with shock, and in that instant, he understood everything.
Without hesitation, he stepped into the bathtub, immersing himself alongside her. His bloodshot eyes shone with determination as he wrapped his arms tightly around her fragile frame.
“Yvonne, listen... Listen to me,” he whispered.
Yvonne’s teary eyes gradually steadied under the warmth of his embrace, her erratic breathing slowing.
“You’re amazing, Yvonne. Being with you is the greatest blessing of my life. I’m the one who’s unworthy of you,” Drew said, his voice filled with both tenderness and pain.
As he gently patted her trembling back, his fingers brushed over the scars that marred her skin. Each one etched itself into his heart, a testament to her suffering. “The past is behind us. Let’s look forward. The good days are still ahead, waiting for us.”
…
In the early hours of the morning, Yara Park lay shrouded in stillness.
Unable to sleep, Bella wrapped herself in a soft blanket and sat alone on the veranda, gazing at the snow under the moonlight.
However, her mind was far from the serene scene. She was preoccupied with thoughts of Justin’s well-being as well as the sinister schemes Grant and Lucas might still be plotting.
“Bella? What are you doing here?”

The readers' comments on the novel: The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson)
I am reading this book from last year. Its very long story but at start i find enjoyable.Still there is no closure , dragging the story and the writer is running out of ideas. Its frustrating that they don't upload chapters regularly....
If you are about to start reading this “ongoing” book….don’t. It’s a great read but mo regular updates and leaves you hanging. Took me months to get to chapter 2370 (this app only has it to chapter 2368….learned to search different links to read ahead a bit). These ongoing books are just not worth the time since their author (s) take days/weeks to upload new chapters. Again great sultry, long drawn out at times, but not worth the frustration of no new updates....
No update in 6 days!!! Really??? I’m about over this story and ready to move on, the wait is to long....
Pls update regularly or least let us know why it's taking so long...
Ok I was thinking last night. I really hope the author hasn’t been affected by hurricane Helene. Not sure where they are located but I hope everyone is safe...
It’s been 87 years since the update with only 2 chapters. 🙄...
Why is it taking so long to update chapters....
Do u have plans to update more chapters or the story just end on Chapter 2270? It's been a while that no more chapter has been loaded yet. ty...
Pls update...
Please update. Thanks and more power!...
