The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 691

Chapter 691

“Bella, what are you saying?” Nigel was dumbfounded by Bella’s words. He stared blankly at her in disbelief.

“The situation was extremely chaotic at that moment. Some thugs

suddenly attacked us. I was preoccupied with protecting Aunt Celeste

and was unable to free my hands to defend myself. Those thugs were

skilled, and even our bodyguards couldn’t stop them…”

Bella recalled the moment when Justin took a blow to the head for

her.

Her eyes were bloodshot, and her chest felt heavy, making her voice

hoarse. “In that critical moment, Justin rushed out to protect me. If it

weren’t for him, the one being treated right now would have been me.

Grandpa Nigel… It’s all my fault. I reacted too slowly. You can scold

me or hit me. This time, I owe it to Justin.”

Wyatt saw his daughter humble herself like this for Justin, which pained him greatly. “Bella…”

“Silly child, why are you so foolish!”

Nigel’s eyes were filled with tears as he quickly helped Bella up.

Whether it’s you or Justin, Grandpa will feel distressed if either of you gets hurt. If it were you lying inside, Grandpa would cry even more bitterly!”

“Grandpa…” Bella was deeply moved. Her throat tightened, and she could hardly speak.

“Bella, Justin took this blow for you. You mustn’t feel guilty or blame

yourself.”

Nigel gently stroked Bella’s soft hair, his aged eyes filled with

tenderness for her. “That scoundrel treated you horribly for three

whole years, betraying your heart. Now that he’s in this state, he

deserves it. It’s his redemption! Don’t feel sorry for him. Let him take

the blow so he can clear his head a bit!”

Bella knew Grandpa was putting on a courageous act. After all, Justin

was his biological grandson. How could he not feel hurt?

“Old Master!” Matt hurriedly approached, looking concerned. “Mr.

Gregory and Ms. Shannon have arrived.”

Nigel’s expression darkened a bit. “Didn’t I say not to inform them for

now?”

“I did follow your instructions not to inform them, but with such a

major incident, news spreads fast.”

Before Matt could finish, a group of people approached them.

“Justin! Where’s Justin?!” Gregory walked toward them while loudly

inquiring. He rarely showed such concern for his second son.

However, this time, Gregory was in panic upon hearing that Justin had taken a blow to the head with a metal rod and was bleeding

profusely. Justin was hanging between life and death.

The worry was etched all over Gregory’s face, and it seemed as if he

was growing gray hair on his temples.

Watching Gregory suddenly care so much about this illegitimate child, Shannon felt a burning hatred.

At the moment, she could only pretend to show concern and joined in crying, “Justin! Justin!”
